Tim has had many adventures in a proactive life. He has lived everywhere from Bourbon Street, New Orleans to Whangamata, New Zealand, from a beach in Mexico to a yacht in the Pacific Ocean. Adventures include scuba diving, prospecting for gold, traveling throughout Mexico, Central America, New Zealand and Australia and sailing yachts in the Pacific . The preeminent adventure is being married to his wonderful wife for 33 plus years raising 5 amazing children. His latest adventures include taking his sail boat down the Mississippi River and doting on his first grandchild.
Meyers graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with post graduate studies at Rockhurst University. His career began with an accounting firm in Kansas City, MO that later merged into the international CPA firm KPMG. This was followed by positions in industry, with a hiatus of several years for traveling. The firm of Timothy P. Meyers & Co., P.C. was founded in 1987 and the tax/accounting practice has consistently grown since then. His public accounting experience is broadly based, having performed work for companies in a wide variety of industries including large construction, farming/ranching and manufacturing. The firm is heavily involved with smaller companies in performing tax and business advisory services.
The flair for proactive living flows over into everything Meyers does; including doing all he can to see that his clients succeed. Saving tax dollars is part of assuring that clients succeed and Tim takes a proactive approach in tax planning. He keeps current on legal tax planning issues and has attended the Academy of Certified Tax Coaches. The firm is able to create practical solutions for clients’ complex tax and accounting issues.
Memberships include the AICPA, the Missouri Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of Certified Tax Coaches. As an active and contributing member of his community, Tim is a life member of Gideon International; he is a member and has held offices in the local Optimist Club, and is active in his local church. He also has served on various organization boards including City of Clinton Local Tax Committee, the City Board of Adjustments, Community Association of Regional Enterprises and the local housing authority.
